with another big change. brianne carter joins us live from arlington with details. >> metro riders are no strangers to metro track work on the weekends. rather than single tracking they will use a new approach. they will have shuttle buses are round the work that is being done. metro officials said this will help them complete the repair work faster. this weekend starting at 10:00 here at the east falls metro station, there will be free shuttle buses. that will happen from the station to the west falls the church station. this is the first of a series that will happen for the next 12 months on the weekend. the goal of the new track work is to get the work done faster. metro officials say this will allow the trains to operate more normally outside this war zone. the inconvenience of your customers. this will allow them to get those ntsb recommendations done 18 months sooner. this will last for the next year on the weekend. it starts tonight at 10:00. on the weekend of august 6 and 7, bus service will be between bethesda and rockville. there will be work on the blue and yellow line a

to benothing. carmageddon was a big glop. this time, we can't even blame bruce willis for it. it was a flop on its own. they finished 17 hours early. i've been living here for 17 years. coming back from around on sunday, we had less traffic than i've ever seen. the streets were completely clear. everyone was calm and responsible. they just stayed off the road. even lindsay lohan did not do anything. and while i -- [ applause ] i applaud usrestraint, i feel we might be losing our edge a little bit. i might get a galen of gasoline and set a dumpster on file after the show just to kick start things. get them back on track. did any of you see this harry potter movie this weekend? and the players union. there is a big vote in d.c. tomorrow. joining us with a look at that. a couple hours ago it looked like a done deal. >> let's wait. we hope that vote happens tomorrow. it looks like the lockout will be history by this time tomorrow night. but there could be a last-minute delay in a vote by the players. all 32 of the player representatives are here in washington right now they'll get up tomorrow have a meeting and then they plan to vote on the deal. but according to the "new york times" the players have asked at the very last minute now that some new language be inserted into the contract. they reportedly want an opt-out clause after year seven of the ten-year pact. the owners are not happy about this. so this has caused a lot of uncertainty about the post lockout schedule. it was assumed the players would approve the and then report to facilities on wednesday. but who knows. things look good but now we have to wait and see how things shake out tomorrow. we do know all ice in the football world will be on washington starti
